The centennials as a antiformalism challenge for law schools

Authors

Abstract

In the current Latin American context, the undergraduate students of law schools are mostly ascribed to the generation of centennials. It is a category that groups together those people born in the late 1990s and early 2000s, who are aware of the problems of the global context, seek to overcome exclusionary parameters of normality and consider that the solution lies in systematic changes from the daily life of each subject. Thus, the prevailing formalism in many of the law schools is reassessed by considering that the law cannot have an aspiration of perfection. On the contrary, the law must be understood from an open nature, against which there may be sources beyond the traditional legislator and therefore each legal operator can make authentic interpretations. In this sense, this article will delimit the generation of centennials, will formulate the iusteoric challenges that from anti-formalism is proposed to the teaching of law and ultimately comes to propose a new educational approach called authentic anti-formalism.
