XX) ha manifestado un resurgir a partir de finales de los años setenta hasta nuestros días. Sin embargo, los antecedentes de dicho género debemos rastrearlos desde finales del siglo XIX. Por ello, planteamos en este trabajo un recorrido por dicha forma discursiva, cuyo surgimiento coincide tanto con el inicio de la  estética modernista en prosa, como con el incremento, en cantidad y prestigio, de la prensa. Con ello, trataremos de demostrar que lo que hoy entendemos por crónica -discurso íntimo, a medio camino entre la literatura y el periodismo, entre la prosa y la poesía- es un género que desde el siglo XIX se proyecta con total vigencia hacia el siglo XX.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>The chronicle gender in Hispanic America (XX C.) has experienced a revival from the final years of the seventies to the present. However, the antecedents of that gender must be sought in the last few years of the XIX Century. For that reason, in this work we propose an overview of that discursive form, whose rise coincides whith the birth of the modemist aesthetics in prose together with the increase in quantiy and prestige of the press. That way we intend to demostrate that what we understand today as chronicle -intimate discourse- half way between journalism and literature, between prose and poetry is indeed a genre that has projected itself with total relevance from the XIX Century into the XX.</div>}, number={59}, journal={Revista Chilena de Literatura}, author={Mateo, Angeles}, year={2016}, month={mar.} }
